I started building guitars in 1992 from a kit my oldest son gave me for my birthday. After building that one I was hooked!!! I couldn’t wait until I started building the next one. Being a perfectionist, I’ll probably never build the perfect guitar, for I’ll always be trying to improve on something. In building the best guitar possible, I believe you need the best materials possible. With the top wood being the most important in the sound of the guitar, I have spent many, many hours searching the mountains of West Virginia for Red Spruce trees, which I believe to be the Holy Grail of top woods, having found some, I’m well stocked with this wood. This is what I use on all of my guitars unless otherwise requested. I’ve tried to develop my own guitar identity in both looks and sound. When you play one, you will experience both the labor of love and the quality of materials used in building my guitars. Play one and enjoy!
