Kiernan Guitars specializes in archtop guitars, both acoustic and electric,
building innovative features into traditional designs, like his unique side
f-hole, providing players with their own acoustic sound port. All guitars
have three-piece curly/birds-eye maple necks with ebony fingerboards and
headstock overlays, abalone and mother of pearl inlays, and solid hand-bent
maple sides. Electric models feature AAA maple laminate backs and tops with
parallel bracing to minimize feedback. Acoustic/floating pickup models are
made with hand carved solid maple backs and X-braced, carved solid spruce
tops. Brian started in NYC with Favilla guitars back in the 70's, and has
been in Boulder since 1987.
