Ken Goodwin retired a few years ago from a career in cabinet making and restoring
Victorian houses to devote his efforts full-time to lutherie. His first teacher was
long-time friend Harry Fleishman, with whom Ken shares an interest in designing and
building both basses and guitars, electric and acoustic. He has collected wood for
many years and uses alternative tone woods in his acoustic guitars, including Bubinga,
Bloodwood, Purpleheart, Padauk, among others.
